Chemistry

Established in 2016, the Undergraduate Programme in Chemistry is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles of chemistry, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills. As a central science, chemistry bridges biology, physics, and materials science, offering versatile applications in research, healthcare, industry, and environmental solutions.

The program combines theoretical instruction with practical laboratory experiences, enabling students to explore the fundamentals of organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry. Students are actively encouraged to participate in intercollegiate meets, national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops to broaden their knowledge and engage with advancements in the field.

Graduates of this program are well-prepared for higher education, research opportunities, and careers in industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, environmental science, and education.

  • To foster scientific knowledge and research in biochemistry, shaping individuals capable of advancing healthcare and environmental well-being.
  • To provide in-depth education in biochemistry, emphasizing molecular science and its applications in health and environment.
  • To encourage research skills that promote innovation and critical thinking.
  • To prepare students for careers in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology with an ethical approach to science.
