About NPTEL

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. NPTEL has formed partnership with colleges to reach its courses to a mass number of learners. 

NPTEL Local Chapter

Indo-American College established a Local Chapter for NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) a project funded by the MHRD, Govt of India on September 27, 2019. Mr.A.Ramkumar Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry has been designated as SPOC (Single Point of Contact).

The National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) – A Project initiative of IIT Madras, supported by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, offers an opportunity to undergo free online certification courses in Computer Science, Humanities, Basic Science streams and Management. This facility assists faculty to enrich their knowledge and act as ‘mentors’ of the students.
