The English Department has been functioning as a Language Department since the inception of the college, teaching Foundation English to all the undergraduate courses. It was established as a Major Department in the year 2008 with BA English. The English Language and Literature Degree is an exciting course that will engage the learner with a variety of literary and linguistic texts written by writers around the world. It helps examine how English language works in different social, political and cultural contexts. The Department offers MA English from the year 2012 and M.Phil English from the year 2014.
