Computer Science
Established in 1998, the Department of Computer Science offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to equip students with a solid foundation in computer science principles and emerging technologies. The B.Sc. in Computer Science provides essential knowledge for a computer science graduate, focusing on both theoretical and practical aspects of computing.
The department introduced the M.Sc. in Computer Science in 2004 and launched a research program (M.Phil) in 2012, expanding its academic offerings to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field.
Our department is well-equipped with state-of-the-art, air-conditioned computer laboratories, housing nearly 50 computers and a server, providing students with the tools needed for hands-on learning and research.
Students are encouraged to organize and participate in intercollegiate meets, national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops, gaining exposure to the latest advancements in computer science and technology.
