Computer Applications and IT
Established in 1999, the Department of Computer Applications offers a comprehensive program that emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of Information Technology. The program is designed to equip students with the expertise necessary to succeed in the ever-evolving tech industry.
The department introduced the M.Sc. in Information Technology in 2001 and added an additional section for the BCA program in 2008, expanding its academic offerings to cater to a diverse range of student needs and interests.
Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art, air-conditioned computer laboratories, featuring nearly 52 computers and two servers, providing students with hands-on learning opportunities and access to advanced technology.
Students are encouraged to organize and participate in intercollegiate meets, national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops, staying abreast of the latest developments in emerging technologies.
