Established in 1998, the Department of Biochemistry has grown to become a leading academic center within the institution. Recognized for its commitment to excellence in both teaching and research, the department was elevated to a Postgraduate department in 2005 and has expanded to include an M.Phil. Research Program since 2012. Additionally, the department has been offering a PG course in Bioinformatics since 2002, making it a pioneer in this interdisciplinary field.
Our students have consistently achieved high academic standards, bringing honor to the institution by securing top ranks in university examinations at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
